The Process..

I.

The initial consultation. Whether through a phone call with myself or an exchange of e-mails. This is the part where I receive the initial specification from the customer. It could be just a hint of an idea or a fully fledged concept. Or even a photo of an item of furniture that has inspired you. I will listen carefully to your requirements and maybe offer some advice. When we are happy we can then move on to the next step.

II.

The design process. Taking your ideas and specifications in mind. The design process can now begin. First with a rough sketch and moving on to full 3D – to scale designs. This way we can make any slight changes easily and allows you to envision your ideas. This also allows us to map out every tiny detail ready for the fun of making to start.

III.

The making begins. Once you are happy with the design, we can now start on creating your piece. Firstly selecting the very best timbers from our stock. Or sourcing from our suppliers. We take our time building each piece. Mainly using hand tools and ensuring that everything we make is perfect for you. And all along keeping you updated on progress.

IV.

Completion. Your furniture is now made. Down to the last application of your choice of finish. We can now deliver your new bespoke item. Whether shipped carefully or delivered and installed by myself. Each piece of furniture I make is signed and has a unique number and a lifetime guarantee. Leaving you with confidence of use and enjoyment for many years to come.
